The almond granita is a very tasty dessert, but very light. The almond granita is a typically Sicilian preparation. In Sicily, in fact, the granita is served at breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

1 liter of mineral water,
300 grams of almond paste

Preparation

In a skillet, pour the water and bring to a boil, then turn off heat and let cool. Then cut the almond paste and add the warm water, stirring until completely dissolved.
Place the mixture in a bowl of steel or aluminum, and leave it in the fridge for 40 minutes. Then, pull it, break the ice that crystallizes upon him, and placed back in the fridge.

Repeat this procedure every 30 minutes and after about 4 hours should be ready.

To make the mixture creamy, without increasing your intake of calories, just add 3 egg whites until stiff peaks form when ready. The mixture is placed in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes, then one should break the ice crystals again before serving.
